Reuters: IBM working on payment system featuring Bitcoin's core technology
Reuters reports IBM is working on a digital cash/payment system that would rely on the blockchain - the transaction ledger technology that underpins Bitcoin ( COIN , OTCQB:BTCS ) and other virtual currencies - to enable transactions for major currencies that don't require a bank or payment processor, thus lowering transaction costs.
